Hathersage Fragments is an intentional study of a village reduced to its fundamental parts. Rather than a sweeping overview, this series focuses on the sharp, individual shards of a place: the weathered texture of a gritstone wall, a lone silhouette against a morning mist, and the quiet geometry of the valley’s edges. By isolating these moments, the project explores the character of Hathersage and its immediate surroundings through its details, capturing a sense of place found in the bone, the stone, and the space between.
