FAQ’s
"PAV: More than just initials. Derived from the Latin pavire, meaning to tread or beat a path, PAV (Paul Anthony Visuals) is built on the spirit of the nomad. It’s about the journey of the lens across the pavement, the paths we find, and the stories we uncover while wandering. I don't want to just capture images; I want to document the path."
Why Paul Anthony Visuals? [PAV]
Photography is a solitary, almost meditative process for me, a way of slowing down and paying attention. But the work it produces isn’t meant to stay private. This website exists so those quiet moments, those small observations, can be shared and experienced by others.

What Ratios and Why I Shoot Them?
The frame is the path. I use Square (1:1) for grounded symmetry and a moment of pause, Portrait (4:5) for the closeness of a human story, and letterbox crops (1920:709) to open the landscape and carry the feeling of movement. Colour becomes the final layer, whether muted earth or monochrome, Choosing a ratio and a palette isn’t just technical for me; it’s how I shape the road the story travels.
Which gear do you use ?
I tend to choose gear for how it feels in the hand, ergonomics and robustness matter more to me than chasing the absolute best specs or the brightest lenses. I shoot only digital now, mostly because it keeps things practical and lets me stay focused on the moment rather than the mechanics. And for the curious (or the gear‑obsessed), my current gear, Sony A7cr, A7cii, [Sony 24mm f2.5], [Sony 40mm f2.5], [Sony 24-50 f2.8], [90mm dg sigma f2.5], 1/8 black mist filter, variable Nd filter, CPL filter.
